The InfoBase on the European Aquaculture Experimental and Research Facilities (EurOcean_AF) was launched in 2010 and gathers information on aquaculture facilities, summing up (at the moment) a total of 60 facilities available for consultation. The InfoBase covers marine aquaculture experimental and research facilities, exclusive freshwater facilities are not included. This new InfoBase EurOcean-AF aims to facilitate access to related information on facility research topics, species held at facility, physical description of the facility, supporting facilities at site, special equipment at the facility and lodging. |
A friendly-user interface allows the end user to filter the vessels according to: country, species and scientist.
This tool also aims to enhance communication among the different actors working in this field. The friendly-user interface and its search criteria provide the end-user with a simple and efficient mode of search.
