The launch of the AoA "Assessment of Assessments" report and its Summary for Decision Makers (SDM) took place the 31 August 2009 during the meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group of the Whole (UN headquarters, New York). This meeting was established through UN General Assembly Resolution 63/111, in order to recommend a course of action to the General Assembly at its 64th session.
