| Responsible Research and Innovation was under the spotlight at the first meeting of the H2020 funded MARINA project in Rome, which was attended by Ned Dwyer and Sofia Cordeiro. Responsible Research and Innovation is all about ensuring that researchers, citizens, policy makers, business, etc. work together during the whole research and innovation process in order to improve alignment of both the process and its outcomes with the values, needs and expectations of society. The 3-year MARINA project will create a Knowledge Sharing Platform which will help bring together existing relevant activities with those new to the process. Its primary thematic focus is marine activities, but the methods and tools to be developed should be transferable to any thematic area. This project is coordinated by EurOcean Member CNR (Italy) and also involves our French member NAUSICAÁ as well as the EurOcean office. VLIZ (Belgium), IEO (Spain), IOPAN (Poland), GeoEcoMar (Romania) and FRCT (Portugal), all EurOcean members, are included as third parties to the project. |
